J. Kenneth Driscoll

J. Kenneth Driscoll, 76, of 2 Christopher Hall Way, Yarmouthport, formerly of 3 Navin Heights, died Saturday at Pavilion Hospice Care Facility in Hyannis. Born in Lee on July 10, 1928, son of Richard and Mary Purcell Driscoll, he attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Lee High School in 1946. He moved to Yarmouthport in the 1990s. He served with the Army in Japan and Germany for three years. Mr. Driscoll was employed by Kimberly Clark Corp. as a plant protection supervisor, retiring in 1984 with 30 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a Lee Little League manager for five years during the late 1960s. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He and his wife, the former Ruth E. Soules, would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary May 31. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Michael F. Driscoll of Yarmouthport; a daughter, Deborah A. Joyce of Boxborough; two brothers, Donald E. Driscoll of Tulsa, Okla., and Charles J. Driscoll of Lee, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for J. Kenneth Driscoll will be Wednesday, May 4, at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, May 3, from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, both in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Ken leaves his loving grandchildren, Seamus and Madeline Joyce, Kellen and Madison Driscoll, and his son-in-law, Christopher P. Joyce.
