Olive G. Poucher

Olive G. Poucher, 87, formerly of South Main Street died Tuesday evening at Laurel Lake Center for Health and Rehabilitationin Lee, where she had resided since January. Born in Rhinebeck, N.Y., on July 10, 1918, daughter of Hunting and May Mallory Flinn, she attended schools there and was a graduate of the former Sheffield High School. Mrs. Poucher was employed at Bradford Auction Gallery for many years, retiring in 2002. She also worked as a seamstress. Her husband, Arthur S. Poucher, whom she married April 22, 1939, in Lee, died Aug. 14, 1992. She leaves a daughter, Betsy Woodward of Wilmington, Del.; a sister, Rita O'Connell of Gorton, a granddaughter, and two great-granddaughters. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A gathering to celebrate the life of Olive G. Poucher, who died May 3, 2005, will be held Monday, May 9, at noon at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA. 01230. Kent Woodward, a granddaughter, Kelly Griffith, and two great-granddaughters, Caroline and Emma, and her sister-in-law, Inez Flinn of Sheffield. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Flinn, and a sister, Doris Perantoni.
