Irene Jeannette LeBeau

Irene Jeannette LeBeau, 85, of 42 Commercial St. died early yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on Sept. 28, 1919, daughter of Arsene and Vitaline Breault Guerin, she attended Adams schools, including the former Notre Dame and Adams High schools. Mrs. LeBeau worked at Adams Laundry and Dry Cleaning Co. (Aladco) for several years until retiring in 1984. Earlier, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas. She also was a member of the former Adams Women's Bowling League. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She and her husband, J. Alfred LeBeau, would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary June 4. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, René Macomber of Plymouth; a brother, Raymond Guerin of North Adams; two sisters, Theresa Dapper of Adams and Marie Carnevale of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian burial for Irene Jeannette LeBeau, who died May 15, 2005, will be celebrated Wednesday, May 18, at 10 in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Calling hours at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, will be Wednesday from 9 until the service. She leaves four grandchildren, Irene Beyer of Salisbury, N.C., David Hood of Plymouth, Keel Hood of Fairfield, Maine, and Andrew Hood of New York City; three great-grandchildren, Kaeli, Noah and Chaela Hood, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Isadore Guerin, Victor Guerin and Arsene Guerin Jr., and four sisters, Clara Wilk, Mathilda Giroux, Corinne Lepine and Eva Richardson.
