Paula T. Saltamartini, 42

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Paula Teresa Saltamartini, 42, of 83 Furnace St. died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at North Adams Regional Hospital after being stricken earlier at her home. Born in North Adams on April 5, 1963, daughter of Joanne Angela Mancuso Saltamartini of North Adams and the late Anthony Angelo Saltamartini, she was a 1984 graduate of Drury High School. Ms. Saltamartini was employed for 13 years at Price Chopper Supermarket in North Adams. Before that, she worked as a program assistant for Comprehensive Employment Training Activities at the Sunshine Camp Park and McCann Technical High School. From 1981 to 1984, she worked as a cafeteria assistant at Drury High School. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony's Church, where she volunteered for the annual church bazaars and ziti suppers. She was a member of the LaFesta Committee, North Adams Lodge Sons of Italy 704 and North Adams bowling leagues. She enjoyed meeting people and working in the food service area, especially the salad bar areas. She also enjoyed tennis, swimming, cooking, baking and traveling. Besides her mother, with whom she resided, she leaves a sister, Lisa Davis of Manchester, Conn., and two brothers Anthony J. Saltamartini of North Adams and Mark Anthony Saltamartini of Raleigh, N.C.; nieces and nephews Angela Saltamartini, Anthony Saltamartini, Blake Saltamartini, Kristine McGrath, Jessica Houghtaling and Michael Davis; a great-niece, Kayla McGrath; a great-nephew, Ethan Walden, and aunts, uncles and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Ms. Saltamartini will take place Saturday, May 28, at 10 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME for FUNERALS West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 64 Marshall St., with the Rev Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Friday, from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the St. Anthony Capital Campaign Fund through the funeral home.
