Linwood Ernest Farron

Linwood Ernest Farron, 59, of 380 Union St., died Friday afternoon, June 10, at his home. Born in North Adams on Aug. 19, 1945, son of Robert C. and Gladys Penniman Farron, he attended schools in Stamford, Vt. Mr. Farron lived in Syracuse, N.Y., for about 20 years and was a self-employed logger. He was last employed for 10 years as a logger for Phil Krutiak at Savoy Hollow Enterprises, until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed wildlife and the outdoors. He leaves his wife, the former Karen A. Hurley, whom he married July 3, 1999; four daughters, Gladys May, Amy and Lisa Farron, and Linda Barry, all of Syracuse; a sister, Hazel Kneer of Syracuse; a brother, Norman Farron of Williamstown; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a brother and sister, Richard Farron and Helen Kenney. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Linwood Farron will take place Tuesday, June 14, at noon at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with the Rev. Jill Graham, pastor of First Congregational Church in North Adams, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday morning from 10:30 until the funeral. Donations to the American Diabetes Association or the Western Mass. Lung Association in care of the funeral home. He also leaves nieces and nephews.
