Edward Albert Kosche

Edward Albert Kosche, 70, of 25 Minton Lane, West Barnstable, a native and former resident of Adams, died early Monday morning at home. Born in Adams on Jan. 3, 1935, son of Alfred and Adlena Racicot Kosche, he was a 1953 graduate of the former Adams High School. He moved to Cape Cod in 2002. Mr. Kosche worked as a machinist at Beloit Corp. in Dalton, retiring in April 1997 after 41 years of service. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas, where he had served on the bingo committee for many years. While he lived in West Barnstable, he attended Our Lady of Victories Church in Centerville. He was a member of the Adams Lodge 1335 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and was former treasurer of the Adams Youth Football program. He enjoyed model-ship building and gardening. He and his wife, the former Shirley A. Ouellette, were married Aug. 27, 1955. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Eric Kosche of Trenton, Mich., and Stephen Kosche of Centreville, Va.; two daughters, Katherine Delaney of Centerville and Paula Elwell of Redding, Conn.; a brother, Alfred Kosche Jr. of Adams; a sister, Helen Carbin of Adams, and eight grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Edward Kosche will be Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m. from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Parish of Notre Dame & St. Thomas; the West Barnstable Fire Department or the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department through the funeral home. He also leaves his daughter-in-law, Ann of Centreville; sons-in-law, William Delaney and Christopher Elwell, and eight grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alexander Elwell, Kaitlin and Victoria Delaney, and Stephanie, Kyle, Matthew and David Kosche.
