Maureen Yeager

Maureen Yeager, 66, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday at Hadlow Northeast Florida Hospice House in Jacksonville after a short illness. Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 11, 1939, daughter of the late Edwin L. and Marie Lambert McGinty, she graduated from St. Joseph's High School and completed the X-ray technician program at University Hospital in Jacksonville. She and her husband, Albert P. Yeager Sr., a 27-year Navy career veteran, were married 47 years. She retired from Nemours Children's Clinic in Jacksonville as a radiology technologist and did volunteer work with Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Florida and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Paul Yeager and Thomas Yeager, both of Jacksonville; a daughter, Karen Ingle of Neptune Beach, Fla.; a brother, Lambert "Mickey" McGinty of Pittsfield; a sister, Mary Ellen Mack of Dalton; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The viewing will be held at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME on Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville Beach on Wednesday, July 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach on Thursday, July 14, at 11:30 a.m. Interment service will follow at Beaches Memorial Gardens in Atlantic Beach, Fla. Mrs. Yeager is also survived by six grandchildren, Melissa, Judy, Josh, Priscilla, Tyler and Trace; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Neena, Cheighton and Jillian; brothers- and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones. She was predeceased by a sister, Jo-Ann Heath.
