Stanley Francis Krupski

Stanley Francis Krupski, 86, of 6 South Road died Tuesday afternoon at his summer home in Hartland, Maine. He was a former town wire inspector and served on the Building Committee. Born in Boston on Feb. 3, 1919, son of Dyonizy and Mary Grzbowsky Krupski, he attended schools in Natick. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. Mr. Krupski was employed by GE as a punch press operator in the power transformer department for 32 years, retiring in 1980. He owned and operated Peru Pallet Repair Co. for several years. He was last employed by as a school bus driver. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the GE Quarter-Century and Pensioners' clubs. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing on Lake Champlain and woodworking. Mr. Krupski built a stone fireplace and wishing well for the Dorothy Frances Rice Sanctuary. He and his wife, the former Nellie Thomas, would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary Nov. 8. Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Gertrude Drosehn of Hinsdale, Nora MacDonald of Bowden, Maine, and Paula Waldron of Peru; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. His son, Francis E. Krupski, died in 1979. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Stanley F. Krupski will be Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at 10 at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor of St. Agnes' Church in Dalton, officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Peru. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, Oct. 23, from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home, 890 East Main St., Dalton, MA 01226. Mr. Krupski is lovingly survived by six grandchildren, William Drosehn III, Matthew Drosehn, Melissa Bourgoin, Erin Stacey, and Derek and Todd MacDonald, and by seven great-grandchildren.
