James A. Foster

James A. Foster, 61, of 5 Huckleberry Lane died Saturday at home after a long illness. He was born in Eau Claire, Wis., on June 29, 1944, son of Wilson and Margaret Selbach Foster. He served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1969 and was discharged with the rank of sergeant. After the service, he lived in Chicopee until moving to Lenox in 1984. He moved to Becket in 2003. Mr. Foster worked in telecommunications for many years and, from 2000 until March, was store manager of Exxon Mobil on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Lee. He was a former member of Cranwell Golf Course in Lenox. He and his wife, the former Sharon Sims, were married May 21, 1966. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Pamela A. Kibby of Manchester, Conn., and Kimberly A. Hunt of Becket; a sister, Suzanne Drosder of Wisconsin, and five grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Visiting hours for James A. Foster will be today, Dec. 19, from 6 to 8 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME.
