Harvey Charles Rubin, 56, formerly of Great Barrington, died December 20 at his home on Spring Crest Drive in San Antonio, Texas. Born on May 1, 1949, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late David and Anna Goodman Rubin, he attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Searles High School in Great Barrington. He attended Berkshire Community College for three years. He moved to Yonkers, N.Y., where he worked as a collection agent for Chase Manhattan Bank. The bank transferred him to Maryland and then, most recently, to San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his brother, Allen Rubin of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for the late Harvey Rubin will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005 at 11:30 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, conducted by Rabbi Deborah Zecher. The family invites everyone to join them prior to the service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery in Great Barrington. There will be no calling hours.
