Dolores L. Fowler, 74, formerly of Colonial Gardens, died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since Nov. 4. Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 1, 1931, daughter of Kenneth J. and Mary Pellerin Plumbo, she attended local schools. Mrs. Fowler was employed in the cafeteria department of the Pittsfield Public Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She and her husband, Leroy M. Fowler, were married May 28, 1949. He died Dec. 17, 1996. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and enjoyed cooking. She leaves three daughters, Kimberly A. Markunas of Nashua, N.H., Deborah A. Fowler of Pittsfield and Donna I. Piziak of Fayetteville, N.C.; three sons, Kenneth L. Fowler of Lenox, and Kevin L. and Robert S. Fowler, both of Pittsfield; two sisters, Muriel Gero and Dianne Gero, both of Pittsfield; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Dolores L. Fowler, 74, of Pittsfield, who died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, will be private. Public calling hours will be today from 3 to 6 at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Unit 5, Hillcrest Commons, in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Mrs. Fowler also was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Greenleaf.
