Amelia Walsh Paris

Amelia Walsh Paris, 91, of 87 Highland Ave. died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons Health Care Facility, where she had resided for nine months. Born in Lee on June 23, 1914, daughter of Amedeo and Nancy Lucaroni Salvadore, she was a 1932 graduate of the former Williams High School in Stockbridge and a graduate of the former Berkshire Business College. She moved to Lenox in 1936 and to Pittsfield in 1967. Mrs. Paris was employed as a bookkeeper at Lenox National Bank for 10 years, retiring in 1967. She was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and a member of the Lenox Seniors. Her first husband, Francis E. Walsh Sr., died Jan. 14, 1955. She and her husband, Louis J. Paris, were married Sept. 9, 1967. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, the Rev. Francis E. Walsh Jr., a military chaplain stationed in Japan and the former pastor of St. Charles' Church; a daughter, Nancy Walsh Considine of Lenox; three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Amelia Walsh Paris of Pittsfield died Saturday, Feb. 18. A loving grandmother to three grandchildren and their spouses. Mrs. Paris also leaves her son-in-law, Philip Considine of Lenox. The funeral will be tomorrow, Feb. 21, at 10:30 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Charles' Church concelebrated by her son, the Rev. Francis E. Walsh Jr., and several other priests. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the funeral home tomorrow morning from 9:30 to 10:30. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Charles' Church or to St. Ann's Church Building Fund, both in care of the funeral home. She was devoted to her family.
