William Richard Kuczynski

William Richard Kuczynski, 76, of 18 Water St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Fall River on Sept. 6, 1929, son of Boleslaus and Bertha Nowak Kuczynski, he moved to Adams as a child and was a 1948 graduate of the former Adams High School. Mr. Kuczynski worked for many years as an assemblyman at General Electric Co. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of Burnette-Bednarz Post 1995 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Adams Post 160 American Legion and the Polish National Alliance. He collected stamps and coins. His first wife, the former Regina Straczek, whom he married in 1956, died in 1963 during childbirth. He leaves a daughter, Lori E. Kuczynski of Adams; a brother, Walter Kuczynski of San Francisco; a sister, Evelyn Harrison of Adams; his former wife, Nancy Lanski of Adams, and a grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for William R. Kuczynski will be Wednesday, March 8, at 9 from Auge-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus' Church celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County or to the Arthritis Foundation, both through the funeral home. He also leaves a grandson, Matthew Milligan of Adams, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Edwin Kuczynski.
