Alice A. Rowley, 71
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Alice Ann Rowley, 71, of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph's Court, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 27, 1934, daughter of Charles and Ellen O'Brien Rowley, she was educated by home tutoring.
Miss Rowley was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Court Association and of its bingo committee. She loved making ceramics.
She leaves three sisters, Elizabeth Grande and her husband, Salvatore, of North Adams, Mary Welch and her husband, Charles, of Adams and Patricia Tomaselli and her husband, Vincent, of Burnet, Texas; two brothers, Leonard Rowley of Springfield and Charles Rowley and his wife, Anne, of Old Saybrook, Conn., and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by another sister, Ellen Rowley, on Dec. 26, 1930.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Miss Rowley will take place Thursday, March 9, at 8 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours are today from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home.
