Elaine A. Lussier

Elaine A. Lussier, 68, of 11 Opechee St. died Sunday morning at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Bayside, N.Y., on Jan. 16, 1938, daughter of Thomas and Edith Mazzone DiPalo, she was a graduate of Bayside High School. She moved to this area in 1960. Mrs. Lussier was employed as a paraprofessional at Conte Community School for 22 years and then was a cashier for four years at Stop & Shop Supermarkets. She was a communicant of St. Charles' Church. She and her husband, Edward J. Lussier, were married Sept. 20, 1985. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Jeffery Simpson of Bedford, N.H., and Scott Simpson of Clearbrook, Va.; two daughters, Cynthia Simpson Wage of Holden and Patricia Simpson Papuzza of Niskayuna, N.Y.; a brother, Anthony DiPalo of Washington, D.C, and seven grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Elaine A. Lussier, who died Sunday, March 26, 2006, with her family at her side, will be tomorrow, March 29, at 9 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Renal Dialysis Inc., in care of the funeral home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Smith.
