Anthony F. Fachini, 74
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anthony Francis Fachini, 74, of 57 D St. died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at North Adams Regional Hospital, where he was admitted April 1.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 28, 1931, son of Anthony and Edna Bratcher Fachini, he attended local schools.
Mr. Fachini was employed by the former James River Paper Co. in Adams for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Before that, he worked at the former Strong-Hewat Mill in Clarksburg.
He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
His wife, the former Jean Elizabeth Baker, whom he married Jan. 29, 1955, died March 14, 1993.
He leaves a daughter, Lisa I. Harvey and her companion, Dan Therrien, of North Adams, with whom he resided; three sons, Michael A. Fachini and his companion, Diane Miranda, and David E. Fachini, all of North Adams, and Travis B. Fachini, with whom he also had resided; five sisters, Mary Manchini of Hampton, N.H., Elizabeth J. Lentine and Edith Maynard, both of North Adams, Diane Vattes of the state of New Hampshire and Irene Schroeder of Methuen; three brothers, James Fachini of the town of Florida, Robert Fachini of Savoy and John Fachini of North Adams, and 12 grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Karen, and nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and a sister are deceased, Joseph, Michael, Louis and Carol Fachini.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Fachini will be Tuesday at 10:15 at FFlynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, North Adams, with a Mass at 11. at St. Francis' Church.
Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 7. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
