Helen Anne Bombardier

Helen Anne Bombardier, 55, of 101 Brookside Drive, Stamford, Vt., died yesterday at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt., where she was admitted on May 14. Born in North Adams on Nov. 20, 1950, daughter of Anna Zontini Rondeau and the late Joseph Rondeau, she attended schools in Stamford and Drury High School. She was employed as a landscaper by Countryside Landscape in Williamstown. Previously, she was employed by the former Jarisch Paper Box Co. in North Adams for 22 years, until the company closed. She was a communicant of St. John Bosco Church in Stamford, Vt. She enjoyed riding her horse, Bubba. She was a gardener and maintained a flower and vegetable garden. She loved the outdoors and also enjoyed riding on her 4-wheeler. She loved country music. Her former husband, Robert Bombardier, died March 13, 1993. She leaves her mother, of Stamford, Vt.; a daughter, Dawn Marie Bombardier of Adams; a son, Roger A. Bombardier, and his companion, Joyce Rondeau of Stamford, with whom she made her home; four sisters, Irene Mineau of Clarksburg, Susan Bailey and Annette Caruso of Readsboro, Vt., and Elaine DeMasi of Petersburg, N.Y.; four brothers, Joseph Rondeau of North Adams, David Rondeau and Richard Rondeau of Readsboro, Vt., and Roger Rondeau of Stamford, and four granddaughters. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Helen Bombardier, who died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chrysalis Community in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements. She also leaves four granddaughters, Leah-Jean Bombardier, Melinda Williamson, Jenna Williamson and Jordan Mountz, and a sister-in-law, Rosetta Rondeau, who was her caregiver, and several nieces and nephews.
