Arlene Josephine Kendrick

Arlene Josephine Kendrick, 95, of 86 Cleveland Ave. died early yesterday morning at the Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield. Born in Readsboro, Vt., on Dec. 24, 1910, daughter of the late Frank Perras and Ella-Mae Berard Perras, she attended schools in North Adams. Mrs. Kendrick was employed by the former Hunter Outdoor Products until retiring in 1972. Prior to that, she was employed by the former Hoosac Cotton Mill in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church in North Adams and a member of its bazaar committee. She was a former member of Court Margaret, Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. Her husband, Stanislas "Stan" Kendrick, whom she married on Sept. 7, 1931, died Oct. 1, 1990. She leaves a daughter, Marlene DeAngelus of Dalton; a son, Bruce J. Kendrick of North Adams, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Arlene Kendrick, who died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, will be celebrated Friday July 14, 2006, at noon at St. Francis' Church. Burial will follow in the family lot in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams are Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested for District 33Y Lions Emergency Fund, c/o Marlene DeAngelus, 23 Barton Hill Rd., Dalton, MA 01226. She leaves a son-in-law, Charles DeAngelus Sr.; a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Kendrick; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Jandran of Worthington, Julie Langdon of Lenox Dale, Charles J. DeAngelus Jr. of Pasadena, Calif., and Andrea Ziarnik of Beaverton, Ore., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters, including Leone Racicot, Ellen Zona, Viola LaBonte, Celina Barbuto, Bernice Bombardier and David, William, Ernest and "Pat" Perras. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
