Maurice R. Bushee, 57
NORTH ADAMS, Mass, — Maurice Raymond "Cricket" Bushee, 57, of 40 Chase Ave. died Tuesday evening, July 18, 20116, at the emergency room of North Adams Regional Hospital, where he was taken after being stricken earlier in the day.
Born in North Adams on March 17, 1949, son of the late Jessie Bushee Sr. and Verna LaFrance Bushee, he attended schools in Florida and Clarksburg.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Bushee was employed by Mohawk Auto Wrecking in North Adams. Prior to that, he worked at the former Widen Tannery, Clarksburg State Forest and the Yankee Atomic Plant in Rowe.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He leaves a stepson, Danny Briggs of Shaftsbury, Vt.; two stepdaughters, Diana Worth of Florida and Bobbi Jo Lemaire of North Adams; three brothers, David Bushee of Jacksonville, Fla., James Bushee of Knightdale, N.C., and Francis Bushee of North Adams; two sisters, Lorraine Choquette and Linda Lavanway, both of Clarksburg, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Jessie Bushee Jr. and his sister Laurie Harper.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bushee will take place Friday evening, July 21, at 7 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams.
Burial will be private. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4 until 7 p.m.
