Shirlene E. Lehman Nutting, 80, of 9 Pinnacle Drive died Friday at North Adams Commons. Born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., on Sept. 20, 1926, daughter of Tracey and Emma Harris Thomas, she attended schools there. Mrs. Nutting was a longtime home health aide. Before that, she was employed by Aladco and by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. Her husband, Russell A. Nutting, whom she married June 21, 1952, died April 1, 1997. She leaves two sisters, Mary Louise Hanley of North Adams and Rose Emma Knapp of Bennington, Vt.; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Arthur Lehman. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Shirlene Elizabeth Lehman Nutting, who died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 10 at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams, by the Rev. Susan Stewart, pastor of North Adams First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Tomb Cemetery, Savoy. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9 until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County through the funeral home. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. A brother, Raymond Thomas, predeceased her.
