Marion Notis, 84, of 7 Kalliste Hill Road died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in New York on April 13, 1922, daughter of Leo and Jean Schwartz Fish, she was raised in Far Rockaway, N.Y. and graduated from Far Rockaway High School in 1940. She worked for Temple Beth-El in Cedarhurst, N.Y. for more than 10 years until moving to Great Barrington in 1968. She leaves her husband, Harvey Notis of Great Barrington, whom she married Dec. 25, 1941, in New York. Also, she leaves a sister, Isobel Calman of Chevy Chase, Md. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services and burial for Marion Notis, who died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, were private and held yesterday at the Ahrvath Sholem Cemetery in Great Barrington. She leaves a sister-in-law, Haidee Schlussel of Coconut Creek, Fla.; a niece, Leslie Calman of Washington, D.C.; a nephew, Jeffrey Calman of Santa Monica, Calif.; four other nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME was in charge of the arrangements.
