Helen V. Gould, 94, of 21 Mohawk Forest Blvd., died Thursday on her birthday at her home. Born in New York City on Nov. 2, 1912, daughter of Patrick and Bessie Golden Toohey, she attended schools in New York City and, at the age of 10, moved to North Adams and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1929. She was employed for many years at the Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in North Adams. Her husband, Charles Joseph "Chuck" Gould, whom she married Sept. 3, 1934, in St. Francis Church, died Sept. 26, 1993. She leaves two daughters, Sister Bette M. Gould, SSJ, of Chicopee and Helene Gajda of North Adams; two sons, C. Richard Gould of Adams and John T. Gould of Williamstown; ten grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Helen V. Gould, who died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, will take place Monday at 12:30 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPELS, North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the Sisters of St. Joseph through the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. She also leaves ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Bator, Kathleen, Kristy, Stephen, Shaun, David and Matthew Gould and Michael, Christopher and Kevin Gajda; two daughters-in-law, Sally and Gisele Gould; and a son-in-law, Norman Gajda. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and James Toohey; and two sisters, Kathleen McHugh and Mae Toohey.
