Michael Charles Stimpson Jr.

Michael Charles Stimpson Jr., 21, of 91 Warren Ave. died Friday at home. Born in Pittsfield on June 5, 1985, son of Michael C. Stimpson Sr. and Robyn Cameli Stimpson, he attended Pittsfield schools and was a 2003 graduate of Taconic High School, where he was selected to work on the co-op program as a carpenter for Unistress. Mr. Stimpson had been employed for the past 2 1/2 years as a finish carpenter for Moore Builders and was a member of the carpenters' union. He enjoyed hunting. Besides his parents, of Pittsfield, he leaves a son, Hayden Michael Stimpson of Dalton; a sister, Sarah-Jo Stimpson of Worcester; a brother, Brett J. Stimpson of Pittsfield; his paternal grandmother, Joan Boody Stimpson of Pittsfield; his maternal grandmother, Jo-Ann Moore Cecchinato of Canaan, Conn.; his fiancée, Katie M. Trimble of Dalton, with whom he resided; and his step-maternal grandfather, Joseph Cecchinato of Canaan. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Michael C. Stimpson Jr., who died Nov. 3, 2006, will be conducted tomorrow at 7 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, by the Rev. Paul Bombardier, pastor of St. Mary's Church. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in his memory be made to establish an education fund for his son, Hayden, in care of Sandy Trimble, 15 Perrine Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Michael is also lovingly survived by his aunts, Heidi Stimpson of Pittsfield and Darci-Jo Gibeau of Craryville, N.Y.; his uncle, Mark Cameli of Burlington, and several cousins and extended family. He enjoyed the special times with his friends and family. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Charles A. Stimpson, on April 16, 1996, and his maternal grandfather, Joseph Cameli, on Dec. 31, 2000. His proudest achievement and biggest joy in life was being a father and knowing he was going to be one again. This was a greater and more beautiful world with him in it. He will be sadly and greatly missed but forever loved and remembered in everyone's heart who knew him.
