Wendy Love

Wendy Love, 56, of 206 Root Lane, a former 21-year resident of Otis, died Sunday at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington after suffering with emphysema. Born in Pittsfield on July 8, 1950, daughter of Norman Soules Sr. and the late Patricia Curtin Soules, she grew up in Tyringham and moved to Housatonic as a teenager. She attended the former Searles High School and was a 1968 graduate of the former LaBaron Hair Academy in Pittsfield. Mrs. Love was employed by many hairstyling shops in Great Barrington and Otis, including the former Alfredo's, Hair World and Miss Margaret's. She was a member of Old Parish Church and enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Her husband, Mason "Mickey" Love, whom she married June 27, 1970, in Housatonic Congregational Church, died Feb. 12, 2000. She leaves three daughters, Sara P. Love, with whom she resided, Lisa M. Dupont of Sheffield and Michelle J. Fennelly of Otis; two brothers, Norman N. Soules Jr. of Great Barrington and Thomas M. Soules of Otis; five sisters, Kathy A. Sharp and Cindy McCormick, both of Lee, Terry Bliss of York, Pa., Shelley Winters of Housatonic and Patsy Gubleman of Pittsfield; and seven grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Wendy Love, who died Sunday, Nov. 5, will be held tomorrow at 11 at Sheffield Center Cemetery. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Dewey Hall on Main Street, Sheffield to share remembrances. There will be no calling hours. Expressions of sympathy in Wendy's memory may be made to the Wendy Love Memorial Fund in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230, which is in charge of arrangements. She also leaves two sons-in-law, Adam Fennelly and Josh Dupont; two brothers-in-law, Randy McCormick and Tony Gubleman; seven grandchildren, Justin Herlihy, Zachary W. and Domanic P. Love, Nolan J. and Austen Dupont, and Connor and Kaitlyn Viola Patricia Fennelly; two good friends, her brother-in-law, Michael Winters and Steve Gonzalez, and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
