Lottie A. DeCoigne

Lottie A. DeCoigne, 82, of 202 North Summer St. died Friday at home after a long illness. Born in Adams on Jan. 6, 1924, daughter of John and Mary Kordana Ziemba, she attended local schools. Mrs. DeCoigne was employed by General Electric Co. for 15 years, retiring in January 1986. Before that, she worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates and the former Gaylord Co., and at the former Sprague Electric Co in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality and a member of the Adams Senior Citizens and the North Adams YMCA. She enjoyed swimming, reading, doing puzzles, knitting and traveling. She and her husband, Ransom B. DeCoigne, were married May 4, 1946. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Ronald DeCoigne of St. Albans, Vt., and David DeCoigne of Adams; two sisters, Veronica Ziemba of Adams and Josephine Waldner of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Edward Ziemba of Virginia Beach; and two step-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lottie A. DeCoigne, who died Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, will be Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 9 from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus' Church in Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3 to 5 at the funeral home. Members of St. Stanislaus' Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 2:45 to pay their respects and recite the rosary. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or to St. Stanislaus' Church through the funeral home. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Martha; a brother-in-law, Frank; a sister-in-law, Lorraine; two stepgrandchildren, Allen and Amanda Jacobs; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
