John W. Calnan

John W. Calnan, 68, of 379 North St. died on Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 26, 1938, son of James and Lillian Daniels Calnan, he attended local schools. Mr. Calnan was employed at one time as an orderly at the former Hillcrest Hospital. He was a member of Ad-Lib and enjoyed listening to his police scanner, working on his computer and CB radios and taking his daily trips to Bellisimo Dolce. He leaves a sister, Joan Vuillemot of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.; and a brother, Edward Calnan of Torrington, Conn. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for John W. Calnan, who died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, will be on Friday at 1 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to Ad-Lib in care of the funeral home. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jerry Vuillemot; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Calnan. He was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Calnan.
