Celia Barcomb, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Celia Theresa Barcomb, 80, of Village East, 546 Union St., died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on March 12, 1926, daughter of Moise and Yvonne Delisle St. Cyr, she attended local schools. Mrs. Barcomb was employed by the former Clark Biscuit Co. for several years and, later, by the former Sprague Electric Co. and Ashland Street Laundromat. She was a communicant of the formerNotre Dame Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Her husband, Ernest Barcomb, whom she married June 6, 1953, died Dec. 3, 1985. She leaves three brothers, Lawrence St. Cyr of Lady Lake, Fla., and Ernest St. Cyr and Albert St. Cyr, both of North Adams; and two sisters, Lucille McLear of Adams and Annette Knickerbocker of South Windham, Maine, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother Norman St. Cyr. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Barcomb will be Monday, Dec. 18, at 9:30 from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Williamstown Commons Patient Activities Fund or to any charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
