Stanley Frank Chwalek, 88, of 36 Crandall St. died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Adams on Nov. 8, 1918, son of Joseph and Mary Jacubicz Chwalek, he attended schools there, including St. Stanislaus' Elementary School. Mr. Chwalek was employed for many years as an electrician for General Electric Co. in Pittsfield. He had also worked for various electricians in Adams. He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. He and his wife, the former Rita C. Riel, were married Oct. 7, 1950. Besides his wife of 56 years, he leaves two daughters, Theresa M. Dudziak of Adams and Connie Chwalek of Canada; and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- At the request of Mr. Chwalek, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, a funeral will be held following cremation on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, Adams, with the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor of St. Agnes' Church, Dalton, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery, Adams. There are no calling hours. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Chwalek and Joseph Chwalek Jr., and by two sisters, Helen Russo and Ann Couture.
