Hazel TenBroeck Curtis O'Hara, 89, formerly of Copake, N.Y., died Friday at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Copake on Aug. 3, 1917, daughter of Raymond and Meta Harvey TenBroeck, she was a 1935 graduate of the former Searles High School. Mrs. O'Hara was employed as a private home caregiver before becoming employed at the Pines Nursing Home. He first husband, Archie L. Curtis, whom she married April 11, 1936, died June 26, 1963. Her husband, Walter O'Hara, whom she married Aug. 23, 1968, died Nov. 3, 1986. She leaves a daughter, Barbara Smith of Palm Desert, Calif.; three sons, Langdon Curtis of Lewis, N.Y., Warren Curtis of Housatonic and Arthur Curtis of Hillsdale, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Debbie Preuter of Parker, Colo., and Diane Sullivan of Connecticut; a brother, Clifford TenBroeck of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Helen Medicie of Hawthorn, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A stepdaughter, Gail O'Hara Perkins, is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Friends of Hazel O'Hara, who died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, are invited and may call tomorrow from 5 to 8 p.m. at PECK AND PECK FUNERAL HOME, Route 22 in Copake, N.Y. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday from the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Hillsdale Rural Cemetery, Hillsdale, N.Y.
