Carolyn Ann Dicranian Ultimo, 66, of 645 Washington Road died Saturday at her home. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 21, 1940, daughter of Augustus and Zabel Ann Dicranian Ultimo, she was a 1957 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1973 graduate of Berkshire Community College. In 1975, she received her bachelor of arts in education degree from North Adams State College, presently known as Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She began working at General Electric Co. at age 17 as operator in the ordnance manufacturing division, retiring with 42 years of service. Most recently, she attended the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy of the Marion Fathers. For 20 years, she was a parish member of St. Mark's Church. She was also a member her local union at General Electric Co. Miss Ultimo leaves a son, Kevin M. Honiker of Becket; two daughters, Angel M. Squires of Hinsdale, with whom she resided, and Danella L. Demary of Pittsfield; a brother, Joseph Gilbert of Stephentown, N.Y., five sisters, Joyce M. Gilbert of Brooklyn, N.Y., Shirley Zaccari, Arlene Hoisington, Gloria Dawson and Barbara Bodnar, all of Pittsfield; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Carolyn A. Ultimo, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, will be held tomorrow at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Salatino of St. Mark's Church officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the service.
