Helen G. Lord, 89, formerly of 25 Grove St., died Saturday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in Adams on Sept. 5, 1917, daughter of Albert T. and Mary Beaubien Gregoire, she graduated from the former Adams High School in 1935. Mrs. Lord was employed by Aladco for more than 50 years as a bookkeeper, retiring in 2004. Before that, she was the bookkeeper for the former Gale Shoe Co. in North Adams for several years. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. She leaves two sisters, Dorothy Lefebvre of Averill Park, N.Y., and Rose Belisle of Adams, and a brother, Francis Gregoire of Bradenton, Fla. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Helen G. Lord, who died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, will be Friday, Jan. 5, at 11 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home. She also leaves nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. A sister, Rita Lilienthal, and a brother, Albert Gregoire, are deceased.
