Irma A. Cook

Irma A. Cook, 91, of 340 North Main St. died Monday at Hillcrest Commons. Born in Germany on Aug. 29, 1915, daughter of Otto F. and Elsa Ihle Ebert, she came to Westfield in 1923 and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Mrs. Cook was employed as a store clerk and was a nursing assistant for many years in private homes. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pittsfield and was active in its women's group. She was also a member of the Lanesboro Seniors. Her husband, William E. Cook, died Feb. 7, 1974. She leaves a sister-in-law, Ruth Disantis of Westfield, and a niece, Gretchen Beckius of Groton, Conn. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services for Irma A. Cook, who died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, will be held in the spring at a time and date to be announced. There will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Pittsfield, care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cook also leaves many close friends.
