Emilie Czelusniak

Emilie Czelusniak, 89, of 3 Myrtle St. died yesterday at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, Vt. Born in Adams on Nov. 5, 1917, daughter of Joseph and Aniela Furtek Wanat, she moved to Cheshire as a child and attended schools there. Mrs. Czelusniak was employed by General Electric Co. in the ordnance division for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of St. Michael's Society and Group 776 of the Polish Women's Alliance of America. She and her husband, Thadeus Czelusniak, were married Nov. 3, 1945. She returnd to Adams after her marriage. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Sandra Zelazo of St. Albans, Vt., and two granddaughters. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Emilie Czelusniak, who died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, will be Wednesday at 9 from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus' Church in Adams celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church or School through the funeral home. She also leaves a son-in-law, Robert; two granddaughters, Alexandra Zelazo-Kessler and her husband, Zachary, of Dorchester, and Tatiana Zelazo of Burlington, Vt.; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Chester, Adam and John Wanat, and by four sisters, Cecelia Lepak, Genevieve Conti, Jessie Sukanek and Olympia Wanat.
