Beverly J. O'Connor, 84, of 1160 Main St., Leominster, formerly of 30 Arnold Court, died Tuesday at Highlands Long Term Care Center in Fitchburg. Born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on April 7, 1922, daughter of Leon and Marguerite Streeter Dimick, she graduated from Granville (N.Y.) High School. Mrs. O'Connor was employed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Welfare from November 1967 until retiring in August 1986. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a member its choir. She often was asked to perform as a soloist for a number of church-related functions. She was actively involved with the Boy Scouts and the Lions Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing the piano and reading, and developed a talent for oil painting after her retirement. Her husband, Stanley C. O'Connor, whom she married in 1943, is deceased. She leaves two sons, Gregory O'Connor of Weymouth and Lynn O'Connor of Westminster; a daughter, Sharon O'Connor of Nashua, N.H.; and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Beverly J. O'Connor, who died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, will be held Wednesday at 11 at WRIGHT-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 109 West St., Leominster, Mass.. There will be no calling hours. Mrs. O'Connor enjoyed caring for her family. She also leaves many friends, whom she loved. A sister, Olga Hughes, and a brother, Richard Dimick, are deceased.
