Angela M. Romero, 93, of 64 Lyman St. died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Vobarno, province of Brescia, Italy, on July 6, 1913, daughter of Valeriano and Maria Zarneri Manini, she emigrated to the United States on Feb. 21, 1921, and attended schools in Pittsfield. Mrs. Romero was employed by A.H. Rice Corp. for 41 years, retiring in 1972. She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed baking, playing bingo and traveling. Her husband, Vincent R. Romero, died June 15, 1977. They were married June 28, 1937. She leaves a daughter, Veronica M. Romero of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- At the request of Angela M. Romero, who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Angela loved spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Giusti, and her brother, Paul Manini. Arrangements are under the direction of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield.
