Mary Faivre

Mary Faivre, 88, of North Plain Road, died yesterday at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, where she had resided for the past several years. Born in Lee on Oct. 15, 1918, daughter of Peter and Congetta Borselino Colombari, she attended schools there. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Faivre had been employed by the Berkshire Motor Inn and Individual Laundry. At one time, she worked in the paper mills in Lee. She enjoyed dancing. She and her late husband, Arthur Faivre, enjoyed ballroom dancing together. They enjoyed traveling throughout the county to various dances. Mrs. Faivre and her husband were married on Sept. 1, 1945. He died June 1, 1995. She leaves a son, Donald Faivre of Great Barrington, and a sister, Congetta Kirchner of Dalton. A son, David Faivre, is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mary Faivre, who died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, will be held tomorrow at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by the Rev. Alan Macy. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Her brother, Peter Colombari, and her sisters, Carmen and Madeline Colombari, are deceased.
