Vernon Dale O'Malley

Vernon Dale O'Malley, 94, of 24 Bower Drive, Myerstown, Pa., formerly of 590 River Road, died Saturday at the Golden Living Center in Reading, Pa. Born in Adams on March 16, 1913, daughter of Theodore and Amy Howland Bazinet, she attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School in 1931. She also attended the former Bliss Business College in North Adams. Mrs. O'Malley was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams as a payroll clerk for about 15 years, retiring in 1977. Before that, she was employed by Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams as an inspector and grader. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Adams. While in Pennsylvania, she was a member of the Senior Citizens' Club of Myerstown. Her husband, William Henry O'Malley, whom she married Aug. 8, 1970, died Jan. 25, 1996. Mrs. Myers leaves a daughter, Marilyn Der Rohn of Myerstown, Pa., with whom she resided. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A funeral to celebrate the life of Vernon O'Malley, who died Saturday, April 7, 2007, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, conducted by the Rev. David Anderson, pastor of First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday morning from 8:30 to 10. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home. Mrs. Myers also leaves a grandson, Michael Pagel of Colorado Springs, Colo., and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Alice Gomeau and Pauline Pappas, and two brothers, Theodore Bazinet and Louis Bazinet, are deceased.
