Andrew Ruthven Bridges, 15, of Main Street, died at home on Saturday. Born in Spartanburg, S.C., on Sept. 3, 1991, son of the Revs. Frances Ruthven and Steven Bridges, he moved to Stockbridge in 1994 and attended the Stockbridge Plain School followed by Berkshire Country Day School, where he was a ninth-grader. He was confirmed into the Christian Faith in Stockbridge, and loved spending time with his friends, delving into the world of comic book super heroes and analyzing every nuance of the movies that he so loved to watch and share. Besides his parents, of Stockbridge, he leaves his paternal grandparents, Carroll and Carolyn Bridges of Charlotte, N.C.; and his maternal grandparents, James and Jean Ruthven of Rockland. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Andrew Ruthven Bridges, 15, most amazing young man, died at his home on Saturday, June 2, 2007, surrounded by the love of his parents, his friends and his extended Church community. He was confirmed into the Christian Faith in Stockbridge where he continues to serve as an inspiration. His sense of humor, quick wit and flair for the dramatic were inspirational. He always found the positive and the hopeful in every situation, no matter how dire. Drew also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins, along with his beloved dog, Ron. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the First Congregational Church (UCC) of Stockbridge. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the manse of the Congregational Church in Stockbridge, the house where Drew grew up.
