Florence Williams

Florence Williams, 92, of Meadow Street in South Lee, died Wednesday morning after a short illness. Born in Lee on Nov. 27, 1914, daughter of Carl and Lillian Brush Elsensohn, she was educated in local schools. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed gardening, baking and going on Senior Center trips. She and her husband, Heamon S. Williams, were married Sept. 6, 1930. He died in 1967. Mrs. Williams leaves four sons, Heamon W. and David Williams, both of South Lee, and Walter and Joseph Williams, both of Lee; a daughter, Betty Capitanio of Stockbridge; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Three sons are deceased: Robert Williams, who died as an infant; Donald Williams, who died April 20, 1986; and Carl Williams, who died March 15, 2000. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Florence Williams, who died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee by the Rev. Tom Damrosch, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Stockbridge. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to Elder Services, care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Pallbearers for Mrs. Williams will be her sons Heamon, David and Joseph along with David Decker, Heamon J. Williams and Dan Martin.
