Valerie A. Hoster, 64, of 110 Central Ave., Dalton, died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness. She lived in Delaware until five years ago when she returned to Dalton. Born in Dalton on July 14, 1943, daughter of Donald and Eleanor Rousseau White, she was educated in Dalton schools. Mrs. Hoster was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and shopping. Her husband, John C. Hoster, died Sept. 24, 2001. Mrs. Hoster leaves two daughters, Melissa A. Rock and Rebecca L. Pickard, both of Dalton; a stepson, David Hoster ofDelaware; a brother, Donald E. White ofDelaware; and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Valerie A. Hoster, who died Saturday, July 28, 2007 will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Mrs. Hoster is also leaves her four grandchildren, Dion, Kathryn and Amanda St. John-Rock and Aubrey Pickard. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Hoster may be made to Dalton Ambulance and Rescue or to the American Cancer Society in care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton.
