Sandra Lee Lynch

Sandra Lee Lynch, 70, of 273 Old Stockbridge Road, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in White Plains, N.Y., on Feb. 17, 1937, daughter of Herbert M. and Claire Oathout Spade, she was a 1955 graduate of the Horace Greeley High School and a 1959 graduate of Elmira College. Mrs. Lynch was a travel agent for more than 20 years, working for many travel agencies in the Berkshires, most recently for Berkshire Life Insurance Co., from where she retired. Mrs. Lynch was an active community volunteer. She was a receptionist at Tanglewood for 10 years, and also dedicated her time to Berkshire Botanical Garden, Hancock Shaker Village, Junior League and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She enjoyed traveling. Her husband, John D. Lynch, whom she married Aug. 1, 1959, died June 11, 1971. Mrs. Lynch leaves a son, Stephen J. Lynch of Pittsfield; a daughter, Kerry J. Lynch of South Deerfield; a sister, Linda Maril of West Hartford, Conn.; and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Sandra Lee Lynch, who died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, will be Sunday at DERY FUNERAL HOME, conducted by the Rev. William D. Furey. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Lynch may be made to the Boys' and Girls' Club or to the Berkshire Humane Society, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield. Mrs. Lynch also leaves her two grandchildren, Reilly and Shea Lynch; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
