Steven L. Sartori, 41, of Cone Hill Road died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Great Barrington on Oct. 10, 1965, son of Louis and Ellen Robertson Sartori, he attended Monument Mountain Regional High School and was a lifelong resident of West Stockbridge. Mr. Sartori had worked in his family's business, General Foundations Inc., since he was a youngster. He ran General Basement Water Proofing, a division of General Foundations Inc., for more than a decade. In January, Mr. Sartori and his brother, James Sartori, bought the company. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and enjoyed fixing old cars, renovating older homes and property and four-wheeling. Besides his parents and brother, all of West Stockbridge, he leaves a sister, Sheila Sartori of South Burlington, Vt. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Steven L. Sartori, who died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in West Stockbridge. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Mr. Sartori also leaves a sister-in-law, Holly Sartori; a brother-in-law, Joseph Lazzaro; his beloved nephew and niece, Carla and Louis Sartori; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Karmel and Brew, and his cat, Cosmo. He cherished spending time with his nephew and niece, whom he loved very much.
