Helen Bejgrowicz

Helen Bejgrowicz, 88, formerly of 19 Victory St., died yesterday at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on Jan. 24, 1919, daughter of John and Sophie Bernat Jasinski, she attended St. Stanislaus' Elementary School. Mrs. Bejgrowicz was employed by the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates as a speed tender until the mill closed in 1957. She then worked for the Mervin Wineberg family as a domestic for 26 years, retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed nature and traveling. Her husband, John J. Bejgrowicz, whom she married June 3, 1940, died Feb. 9, 1998. She leaves a son, Peter J. Bejgrowicz of Adams; a daughter, Joan Bejgrowicz of Adams; two brothers, Matthew Jasinski of Atlanta and Eugene Jasinski of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; a sister, Eva Les of Adams; and a grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Helen Bejgrowicz, who died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus' Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Community of Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Stanislaus' School through the funeral home. She also leaves a grandson, Peter Clifford, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Casimer Jasinski, and by a sister, Irene Meczywor.
