Dorothy Himes

Dorothy Himes, 87, of Bonita Springs, Fla. died Monday at a Hospice of Naples in Naples, Fla. Born in Pittsfield on March 1, 1920, daughter of Michael and Mary Perry Yanni, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, Fla. Her husband, Bertram Himes, died in 2004. She leaves a son, Michael Himes of New Orleans; a daughter, Polly Mazanec of Cleveland; and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Himes, who died Aug. 13, 2007, will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Bonita Springs, Fla. Entombment will follow. Memorials in Dorothy's name are suggested to Hospice of Naples, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Pam Himes; a son-in-law, Daniel Mazanec; and her grandchildren, Daniel, Brian (Abby), Gregory and Sarah Himes; and nephews, Anthony and Jack Polidoro.
