Thomas A. Richardson

Thomas A. Richardson, 69, of 94 Commercial St., died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on July 30, 1938, son of Robert L. and Mary Walach Richardson, he attended local schools. Mr. Richardson was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of seargent. He was employed by Tom Ayotte Construction Co. Before that, he worked as a self-employed mechanic and operated the former T.R. Repair Service for several years. He also had been employed by various local trucking and construction companies as a mechanic, including the former Krutiak Construction Co. and the former Comeau's Trucking Co. Mr. Richardson was acommunicant of St. Stanislaus' Church in Adams. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed hunting and bowling. He leaves three brothers, Robert L. Richardson Jr. of Adams, Lawrence Richardson of Cheshire and William Richardson of Klamath, Ore.; two sisters, Elizabeth Miller of North Adams and Edna Daniels of Savoy; and his long time companion, Gwynn Hillard, with whom he resided. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Thomas A. Richardson, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, by the Rev. Mr. Robert R. Moulton, deacon of the Catholic Community of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. He also leaves two sisters-in-law, Marie (Robert) Richardson and Carol (Lawrence) Richardson; two brothers-in-law, William Miller and William Daniels; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Joan Richardson.
