Robert J. Fryc

Robert J. Fryc, 68, of 49 Summer St. died Tuesday at home of natural causes. Born in Adams on Oct. 8, 1938, son of the late Bernard and Clara Pytko Fryc, he was a 1956 graduate of the former Adams High School. He received a certificate in accounting from St. Joseph's College in Bennington, Vt., in 1965 and completed several graduate-level business classes at C.H. McCann Technical School. Mr. Fryc was an accountant and bookkeeper for the former Hunter Machine Co. in North Adams, for Unistress Corp. in Pittsfield and, most recently, for Lenco Corp. in Pittsfield. He bowled in several leagues at Mount Greylock Bowl in North Adams. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery and was a member of the Mount Greylock Archers. He leaves a son, Alan M. Fryc of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a brother, Bernard J. Fryc of Adams; and his former wife, Carol Rancatti Fryc of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Robert J. Fryc, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. There will be no calling hours. He also leaves a daughter-in-law, Laurie Fryc.
