Lorraine M. Glass

Lorraine M. Glass, 52, of 30A Country Road died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center of respiratory failure after a long illness. Born in Albany, N.Y., on Sept. 20, 1954, daughter of Walter Glass and the late Ruth Wariex Glass, she moved to Cheshire as a child, where she attended elementary school, and to Adams in 1972, the year she graduated from Hoosac Valley High School. Miss Glass was employed by General Electric Co. and then by General Dynamics until 1997. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Cheshire and enjoyed cooking, bowling and playing cards. Besides her father, of Cheshire, she leaves two brothers, Howard Glass and Walter J. Glass, both of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Lorraine M. Glass, who died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church by the Rev. David R. Raymond, pastor. Burial will take place in the family plot at Oakwood Cemetery in Troy, N.Y., at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Terry Glass; a niece, Jennifer Glass; three nephews, Paul, David and Derek Glass; two close friends, Darleen Healy of Lanesborough and Therese Beiso of Pittsfield; and her loving cat, Silver. She was predeceased by a brother, Gary M. Glass.
