Rosemary B. O'Connor, 71

WEST STOCKBRIDGE — Rosemary B. Maslowski O'Connor, 71, of Main Street died Sunday morning, March 23, 2008, at home. Born at the family home in West Stockbridge on Sept. 11, 1936, daughter of Francesco S. and Rose Marie Bruno Baldasarre, she graduated from the former Williams High School in Stockbridge and from Russell Sage College in Albany, N.Y., with a bachelor of science degree. A registered nurse, Ms. O'Connor retired in 2001 from Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, where she had worked as a nurse and charge nurse for many years. She also had worked at Butternut Basin, now Ski Butternut, as a member of the Ski Patrol. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and an active member of the community. She was an usher at Tanglewood in Lenox and was involved with Intravenous Nurses Society. A golfer, she was a member of Greenock Country Club in Lee. Ms. O'Connor was a devoted mother and grandmother, and cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her first husband, Thomas Lenz Maslowski, whom she married in West Stockbridge on April 12, 1958, died in 1962. She leaves two sons, Neil Andrew Maslowski of West Stockbridge and Mark Thomas Maslowski of Plymouth; two sisters, Ann B. Bristol and Irene B. Norton, both of West Stockbridge; her grandsons Quinn Thomas Maslowski and Parker Nino Maslowski, and her former husband, Robert J. O'Connor. She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph Baldassare, the the Rev. William J. Baldassare, Ernest C. Baldassare, George V. Baldassare and Francis S. Baldassare, who was killed during World War II, in 1943, in the Pacific, and a sister, Theresa J. Pons. FUNERAL NOTICE — Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2008, from 4 until 7 at Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington.
