Thomas M. Dillon, 42
NEW MARLBOROUGH — Thomas MacVenn Dillon, 42, of Mill River-Great Barrington Road, Mill River, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield
following a brief illness.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 1, 1966, son of Claire MacVenn Dillon and the late John F. Dillon, he graduated from high school there and earned his bachelor of science degree from St. John's University in New York. He moved to Mill River a decade ago.
Mr. Dillon worked as an account manager for variou12s insurance companies.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield. A devoted family man and member of his community, he was a volunteer firefighter and a member of the First Responders in New Marlborough. He also was a member of the St. John's Alumni Association.
He and his wife, the former Laura Muench, were married on Oct. 24, 1997, at Good Shepard Catholic Church in Brooklyn.
Besides his wife and his mother, of Brooklyn, he leaves a son, Brian Dillon, and a daughter, Kathleen Dillon, both at home; three brothers, John Dillon and Brian Dillon, both of Brooklyn, and Andrew Dillon of Pittsfield, and a sister, Elizabeth Sullivan of Belle Harbor, N.Y.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington by the Rev. John
Lis. Burial will follow in Mill River Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 18, from 4 to 7 at Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. The family will also receive friends in Brooklyn on Wednesday, April 16, from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Marine Park Funeral Home
in Brooklyn.
