Patricia A. Tyler, 65

GREAT BARRINGTON â€' Patricia A. Tyler, 65, of Bernard Gibbons Drive, Housatonic, formerly of Park Street North, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at home. Born in Great Barrington on Feb. 11, 1943, daughter of Leslie M. and Fannie Goodsill Davis, she attended local schools and graduated from the former Searles High School in 1960. She also attended Berkshire Community College. She was an active member of United Methodist Church, where she and her husband, Charles Tyler, were married on Sept. 15, 1962. She was a member of the Methodist Church Woman’s Group, Eastern Star of West Stockbridge and was chairman of the Fresh Air Fund. She enjoyed reading and knitting. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Susan E. Arnspiger of Great Barrington and Wendy F. VanAlstyne of Sheffield; a brother, Thomas J. Davis and his wife, Ann, of West Townsend; four grandchildren, Rachel Roberg and her husband, Shamus, Miles and Arron Arnspiger and Walter Brown, a great-grandchild, Shamus Roberg Jr., and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Kradel and Mary Lou Barnum, both of Great Barrington. FUNERAL NOTICE â€' Funeral services celebrating the life of Patricia A. Tyler will be conducted Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Great Barrington by the Rev. David Rogers. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Berkshire Volunteer Ambulance Squad or HospiceCare in the Berkshires through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
